The challenging 40-mile charity walk in the Lake District will help raise vital charitable funds.

Ali Budd, a Trustee at East Staffordshire Family Support Service, Harvey Girls and Dads4Dads, is set to take part in the annual ‘Keswick-to-Barrow Challenge’ on Saturday 7 May 2022.

The 40-mile route goes through the Lake District, from Keswick to Barrow, with the aim of raising money for charities and good causes. The fastest runners complete the 40-mile official race in just over 4 hours, and the majority of walkers take between 8 and 12 hours.

For the money raised by Ali’s team, funds will be shared between a number of chosen local charities, with Ali’s chosen charity being East Staffordshire Family Support Service, Harvey Girls and Dads4Dads.

Ali said: ‘This will be my fifth time completing the Keswick to Barrow Challenge.

‘The charities that I and others support by putting our legs, hearts and lungs though a 40-mile up-and-down jog through the Lake District desperately need funding to keep doing the marvellous work they do.’

Ian North, Chief Executive at East Staffordshire Family Support Service, Harvey Girls and Dads4Dads, said: ‘We are delighted to be chosen as one of the charities to benefit from the Keswick to Barrow Challenge.

‘Funds raised will help us to continue providing local families with a range of free, confidential and non-judgemental support.’

Please donate now to support Ali and help raise vital funds for East Staffordshire Family Support Service, Harvey Girls and Dads4Dads.
