We have formed a strong partnership with Beyond Black Belt (BBB), a local martial arts club, to establish a 4 week whole family intervention of 4 x 45 minute sessions, focusing on getting active, behaviour and boundaries, spending time together as a family and building resilience.
We have worked with BBB for some time now, encouraging young people to access the club as part of our outreach service, for a reduced rate, improving confidence, resilience and self-esteem. These sessions have had a significant impact on young people’s self esteem and confidence, with a number demonstrating improved behaviour at school, increased attendance and better relationships within the family home.
